Karl Rehn live at New Republic Brewing Co.

The Karl Rehn Trio, led by keyboardist/vocalist Karl Rehn plays Texas blues, New Orleans funk, and Southern style jamband music. A native Austinite, Karl grew up in that city’s music scene working with rock, blues, jazz and funk bands for more than 30 years. He moved to Aggieland in 2007, where he performs regularly with his trio, as well as with the Luigi’s house band, Midnight Express, Leannasaurus Rex, and the Brazos Valley All Stars.

He’s also played with many other local acts including Joey McGee, the Texas Twisters, Don Overby, Tubie and the Touchtones, Karen Chavis, Kathy Ross, Johnny and Lise, and Greg Tivis. At a typical Karl Rehn Trio show you will hear a mix of great tunes from his musical influences and his own original songs, all with a healthy dose of inspired jamming.
